This really was a product of necessity – the assorted hardware, mismatched carrying handles and various coats of paint all testify to a life of service in the hands of one who depended upon this humble article.
 
It’s been knocked and bruised but in truth it’s all the better for it! I particularly like the little brass number five affixed to the lid.
 
It comes with a working padlock and key. Solid and usable. Some historic flight-holes present.
