Crisply cast – indicating it was an early production from the mould – and brightly coloured.
 
Illustrated in Stephen Duckworth’s ‘Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Religious Figures’, page 105, fig. B.4 and noted as being "very rare" with only "three or fewer known to the author".
 
No restoration. Surface crazing present along with a small hairline to Mary’s neck.
