A wonderful early 19th century pearlware pottery bocage figure group entitled the ‘Jolly Traveller’ - attributed to the 'Patriotic Group', an unknown pottery distinguished by their exclusive use of holly bocage.
 
A donkey with panniers stands with a dog to its hindquarters and the traveller to the fore.
 
Historic losses to the tips of the donkey’s ears, reigns absent and commensurate wear and repair to the bocage.
