Standing on a round well moulded base, the upright has been finely turned terminating with an applied mushroom-shaped top.
 
The faux graining is jolly striving to emulate any number of tropical hardwoods: goncalo alves, zebrawood, coromandel, or the like.
 
Historic chip to the top collar and a barely visible repair to the upper section of the shaft.
